The Next Level.

"Kia - Taking things to the next level." Exactly WHERE is the next level??

Techniques of persuasion used: Celebrity, Wealth,Macho,Nature

The ad is about the new car that Kia just released. It also shows Blake Griffin doing an unbelievable dunk. The most effective techniques of persuasion used was CELEBRITY. At first, I thought the ad was about Blake dunking over a car again. It didn't amaze me. Because first if all, it just shows Blake doing a impossible dunk and not much more details about the car.

These persuading techniques were used so that people would buy a car because Blake was with it in the commercial. Maybe he does trust the brand but that doesn't mean you buy it to. That's why people buy these kinds of product; celebrities have it and people think it could be wormy their time.

I suggest those who are reading and watching the ad to just laugh at the commercial. The advertisement isn't persuading enough. The way Kia put Blake Griffin was a smart but cheap technique to persuade people.

Persuasion.

Persuade - to move by argument, entreaty, or expostulation to a belief, position, or course of action. It means to force someone to do something or agree with one's opinion(s).

Persuasions are used in various ways like talking or in an article. But nowadays, techniques of persuasion are use in media literacy, very often in commercials and/or advertisements. Here are some of the techniques which are used in ads/commercials:

Humor
Macho
Family
Friends
Fun
Cartoon
Sexy
Nature
Celebrity
Wealth's

Often these days, we have commercials that persuades us to buy the product. Few of those ads may be true but some of them just put silly or sexy scenes just for people to think it's good to buy the product. Ads do that more often now so that people will think that the product is worth it. But some people these days don't think twice if they DO NEED the product or it could just be just A WASTE OF MONEY.

Helping People: The United Nations

The world today is in crisis. Anarchy rules over countries; civil wars, riots, governmental and financial problems. Some parts of the world are in the state of calamity. People tend to break rules while others rebel for freedom. These problems affect our daily lives and possibly no one in this world hasn't or haven't been affected by these problems. We, our generation try to maintain peace through technology, media literacy, charity for a cause, laws and treaties but when all else fails, one organization stands out to help us maintain peace and order rough out the world. Is organization is called the United Nations.

According to Cyberschoolbus, "The United Nations officially came into existence on 24 October 1945. The purpose of the United Nations is to bring all nations of the world together to work for peace and development, based on the principles of justice, human dignity and the well-being of all people. It affords the opportunity for countries to balance global interdependence and national interests when addressing international problems." "The name United Nations was devised by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt and was first used in the "Declaration by United Nations" of 1 January 1942, during the Second World War, when representatives of 26 nations pledged their Governments to continue fighting together against the Axis Powers." To summmarize the whole thing; the United Nations tries to maintain order within countries. the organization help countries that are in famine, calamity and/or poverty. UN also help leaders, sovereigns and co-partners in UN to keep peace in their country and their neighboring countries. Through the help of the United Nations, the world may still have a better chance of living with no war, no governmental problems and no more suffering.
